Waco Convention Facts

The Waco Convention Center can accommodate groups up to about 2,500 in size, depending on the type of group and its requirements.
The ideal group size is 400-800 attendees.
Waco has 2,400 hotel, motel and bed & breakfast rooms, and the greater Waco area has 3,939 hotel rooms as of 12/31/08.
Waco has a total of approximately 685 committable hotel rooms. This is the number of rooms that hotels will set aside for a specific future conventions.
Waco's high season is March through June, with June being the busiest month. These are the hardest months to find open dates on the Waco Convention Center calendar.
During the fall, weekend conventions can be impacted by Baylor's football schedule. The schedule is set about a year in advance, but can fluctuate. Special event weekends in the fall, such as Parent's Weekend or Homecoming, and some home football games, may increase hotel room demand. Baylor graduation, in May, is also a special event weekend.
Waco's low convention season is December through February. These are the months where hotel availability is highest. Book your convention during those months if possible!
