We are less than a week away from receiving and opening construction bids and this is a very exciting time. There seems to be a great buzz about the project from everyone and everywhere...
Construction bids will be received from General Contractors on September 1, 2009. Base Bids are due by 2:00pm on September 1 and the bids for the package of Alternates is due by 4:00pm on that same day. All bids will be held and secured until the 4:00pm deadline and then opened and tabulated.
The construction contract bid will be awarded at a City Council meeting -- hoping to get that on the September 15 Council Meeting. And if this all goes as planned - the construction project should begin formally by October 1.
