Status - January, 2012
As of January, 2012, every meeting room is back online with the exception of the Waco room. The upper lobby has sheetrock blocking the Washington Avenue side, due to expansion work going on on that side. Most work is taking place on the outside of the building, at this point.Access to the two levels is via elevator, escalator, and stairs.
How to enter the building
Safety fencing surrounds most of the building. Visitors can access the building using the doors facing Franklin Avenue, under the covered walkway that leads from the Hilton to the Convention Center.There is also an entrance close to City Hall, accessible from the Franklin Avenue side. This entrance leads into the Bosque Theater prefunction area.
After the renovation is further along, there will be entry doors on Washington Avenue and University Parks Drive to enter the lower level.
Internet Access
Free wi-fi is available throughout the building. It is password protected, and is available only to customers of the facility.At this time, there is limited hardwired internet access. Please check with us if you need this.
Convention Center Offices
Operations staff will be available in the Convention Center facility. Administrative offices for the Waco Convention & Visitors Bureau are located on the second floor of City Hall, next to the Convention Center.Phone: (254) 750-5810 or (800) 321-9226
