New Shuttle Service in Waco

The DASH

The Dash (as in "Downtown Area Shuttle") is a new rubber-tired trolley service that started in August, 2009. It is free to the public.

The Waco Transit shuttle will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each weekday that Baylor is in session, completing its loop every 15 minutes. The route starts at Baylor’s Penland Hall and passes by Robinson Tower, RiverSquare Center, Behrens Lofts, the Waco Convention Center and Heritage Square and the new Heritage Quarters student housing complex. There are no formal bus stops; riders can get on or off wherever they choose. Just flag it down by waving your arm.

The shuttle service is sponsored by Baylor, the downtown Public Improvement District and the Town Square Partners, who are developing the blocks around Heritage Square along with the Heritage Quarters project.

The Tailgater

The BU Tailgater shuttle service will be available during to each of the Baylor home football games in Fall, 2009. It’s a free ride to the game that will save you money on parking and help you avoid the traffic congestion. You can catch the free shuttle from Vitek’s BBQ and Heritage Square at 3rd and Austin, downtown Waco.
