NATIONAL READING PROGRAM HELPS CHILDREN LEARN TO LOVE READING, HORSES
WACO, TEXAS-The Black Stallion Literacy Project will hold
their Arabian Nights Performance on February 15 at 10:30
am in the Equestrian Center of the Heart of Texas Fair Complex.
This is the culminating event for area 4th graders participating in the Black Stallion Literacy Project. For several weeks, participating schools have incorporated the Walter Farley book, The Black Stallion, into their classrooms to help motivate children to read and experience the love of reading. As a reward for completing the book, the children will attend a performance, designed especially for them, by the World Famous Arabian Nights from Kissimmee, Florida.
The Black Stallion Literacy Project motivates children toward successful lives by helping them discover the joys of reading and wonders of learning through the magic of live horses and Black Stallion books by Walter Farley.
